It is a mission trip from July 7- August 18 in Yokohama, the suburb of Tokyo.

 

We will be partnering with a few Baptist Churches in Japan. A team from my school visited another church in Yokohama a few years ago, and because of the fruitful partnership with the local church, we decided to go back to the same area this year. Over the 6 weeks, we will be helping with...

 

(1) Sunday services and prayer meetings at a church without a pastor. This is common in Japan since pastors are aging, and the new generation is not being raised.

(2) Vacation Bible Schools where 150 children and their parents in the neighborhood will have the chance to step into the church!

 

(3) Visiting places such as after-school club for challenged children, church schools, hospitals and more!

​

(4) We will also visit churches in Ishinomaki, northern Japan where the Tsunami hit in 2011.
