Introduction: Ai Nitta

Hi. This is Ai, starting my 3rd year at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary from the fall.

I was born in NJ but was raised and lived in Japan until I came to Massachusettes 2 years ago. I currently serve at Highrock Covenant Church Arlington as International ministry intern, and have the privilege to serve the Japanese neighbors in the area.

I am amazed by how God has been blessing the ministry! Most of the Japanese population living in Boston are only visiting couple years for studies, research, or job. And this period in a foreign country is a great chance for them to explore new ideas, including Christianity! We reach out to those Japanese people in the area through ESL classes on Fridays, various events through out the year, and Sunday service with Japanese translation.

The ESL class serves as an entry way for them to step into church, and the events give us a chance to share the gospel. Although only one of the 20-30 students in ESL is a Christian, there are families that regularly attend Sunday services, and show great interest in the amazing love and grace of the gospel. We have finally started a Bible study few weeks ago:) Praise the Lord!

So this short term mission trip is exciting to me!!! Serving the Japanese people with my classmates in Japan! I pray that more people will experience the love of God and His passion for Japanese through this trip!

Prayer request for now:

- Please pray for safe flight. I safely arrived in Japan few days ago. Daniel is arriving on the 27th (Japan time), and Li and Trevor are arriving on the 29th (Japan time).

- Please pray that the final preparation will be done smoothly: communication with the local Pastor, preparing for our roles (sermon, offering of praise, testimony... etc), and planning logistics.

- Please pray for protection of health. It is hot and humid in Japan, and summer lethargy is common even among the locals.
